Just curious what brand of batteries and which vendors you guys like. I need to replace the SLAs on my son's E300 now and will likely replace the ones in my hopped-up X-500 by mid-summer.

I think one of the keys is to find a vendor that sells a lot of batteries so that they always have fresh stock.

Any thoughts regarding AGM vs Gel? The AGM makers claim theirs are superior in high-drain applications.

Also, Mr-Exon, I'm curious about your experience with lithium polymer packs. I'll probably stick with SLAs for the E300 but I might experiment with lithium for the X-500.

hawkers are the best sla(800-2000amps peek, matters how big you want your battery)

SVR batteries are the top dog though in SLA(1000amp peaks)

SLA batteries use condenced plate systems to make a 12v14ah battery feel like a battery out of a tractor trailer...hands down even LI batteries cant do that, they LI is tons lighter then a leaded battery any day

Maker of the:
ExVolt1500z(40mph pocketbike)
RazorPR200's(over 10)
RazorMX500
RazorMX350
RazorE150
16hp duel hub 20" bike
I also use anderson connectors to make fast charger systems using the Series/Parallel method.making a bike 48v12ah system charge in under 45min with just a car charger.
